26th January - Fitz Roy Mirador/Lagos Capri El Charlton to El Calafate

Relaxed start to the day with Breakfast and check out.

The fabulous staff member at the hotel has been very helpful with where to walk so today we took her advice and walked to Lagos Capri on the way to Mount Fitz Roy.

It was a fairly steep climb for 3 kms and due to the short time that we had we split up. Tejal and Heidi went to the Lake and Linda and Bill went to the slightly closer lookout.

The wind on the way up was strong so was a little difficult when we were in the exposed parts but was nice during the woods.

The view of the mountains at the top was well worth it!

We grabbed a quick lunch from a Cafe' on the way home and waited a short while for our transfer back to El Calafate.

We stopped halfway at the same spot and Tejal and Linda took advantage of the souvenir shopping.

On arrival at our hotel (back to Hotel Rincon), we headed out to get a quick bite at a local bakery - Don Luis, and back to the Hotel bar for a nightcap and catch up on the blog.

While Tejal and Heidi were still at the bakery Linda and Bill went over to the Mini market to buy water and were surprised with the butcher section of the shop (probably almost half of the shop).
