14th Jan Still on the Drake Passage

The boat is still rock n rolling. None of us felt too ill with sea sickness though. Heidi and Linda had Scopolamine patches on. Bill had taken Travacalm and Tejal a tablet that the onboard Dr Andrees had given her. Up on the bridge before breakfast, David showed how 'fun' doing pushups is during the rolls on the ship.

Breakfast was delayed till 9am this morning to give the galley crew time to prepare something. It was too rough and dangerous to put out a full breakfast so there was mainly bread cheese egg yogurt and fruit.

The Captain ran a relaxed bridge and we had loads of fun during the rocking and rolling, The crew were always very helpful and spoke to us about what they were doing and what we were seeing.

A lot of time this morning was spent up on the bridge, observing.

In the lounge, after lunch, we were treated to a presentation by Gustav about the explorers of the region

Later in the afternoon, Cherise gave a presentation about the seabirds we were seeing.

and another presentation covering the journey tomorrow

Then before dinner, there were more presentations one about seasickness

Seeing as the swell had abated slightly we were able to have a full dinner
